Helping you take the extra step towards a life of learning!
The Greenwood Pre-School is a registered charity which is run by Trustees and a Committee. It is a traditional Pre-school which aims to meet the needs of all children in our care, in accordance with their stage of development, and to value them as individuals, whilst providing a safe, happy and secure environment for them, regardless of their sex, ethnicity, religion or abilities. We work in partnership with parents to help children learn and develop.
We would like to welcome you to The Greenwood Pre-School.
We are a charity run pre-school for children aged 3- 4 years.
We are open Monday to Friday term time only (38 weeks per year)
8:45am – 11:45pm for our morning sessions and 12:30pm - 3:30pm for the afternoon sessions.
We also offer a Lunch Club on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays to enable children to stay all day (currently full).
It is our aim to offer solid foundations in a family oriented environment where children and parents feel welcomed and valued.
From a friendly welcome to a cheery goodbye, you can be confident that at The Greenwood Pre-School there will be lots of challenging, fun activities to inspire and develop the children in our care.
Being active and playing supports young children's learning and development through doing and talking. This is how children learn to think about and understand the world around them. We use the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory guidance on education programmes to plan and provide opportunities which will help children to make progress in all areas of learning. This curriculum is made up of a mixture of activities that children plan and organise themselves and activities planned and let by practitioners.
